Sharks aren't the mindless killers we've made them out to be

Forget the movie Jaws. Look at the facts.

Did you know that 2,000 to 6,000 people die from lightning every year? Meanwhile, last year there were only 64 cases of unprovoked shark attacks; 4 of which were fatal.

Learn the facts

Sharks are not dangerous. The situations we create are.

Humans are not on their menu.  But we need to avoid putting our selves in situations where both sharks and humans could be at risk.

Learn how to interact

Every shark is different and unique, like we are.

There are 465 species of sharks.  Learn how to interact with a White versus a Blue shark, or a Sand, or a Mako, or even a Whale Shark before getting into the water with them.

Learn about sharks

Sharks are curious, but they are actually afraid of us.

Sharks are very smart and will not risk coming close to a foreign creature like humans.  Learn how to read their body language and always be safe.
